RNA-binding proteins and feedback control

We study how RBM38 and related RNA regulators shape translation and feedback within the p53-family pathway.

The p53 network is controlled not only at DNA and protein levels but also through RNA stability and translation. RBM38 is a central focus because it participates in feedback loops with p53-family members and can directly modulate the translation of pathway components.

By defining these interactions and disrupting them with rationally designed molecules, the laboratory seeks both mechanistic insight and possible routes to reactivate tumor suppression.
